Green Meadows Petting Farm

25 Oct

One of my family’s favorite places to go in the fall is Green Meadows Petting Farm.  Located in Grand Prairie, Green Meadows is a huge petting farm where you and your kids can get up close and personal with chickens, cows, sheep, horses, horses, goats, llamas, and pigs.  You can hold the chickens, pet and feed the sheep, and the best part – you can milk a cow!

They also have hilarious pig races and a fun hayride.  And there always seems to be a ton of baby chicks and ducklings, which the kids love.

Monday – Friday, gates open at 9:30 am; Saturday & Sunday, gates open at 10 am.  Every day, they let the last person in at 2 pm (but you can stay as long as you like after that).

Green Meadows is only open in the month of October, through the 27th.  Admission is $12 per person, for everyone ages 2 and up.  Kids 1 and under get in free.  Everyone gets to take home a pumpkin free with paid admission.

If you get a group of 10 or more people together and pay in advance, each ticket is only $9.  Check out their website for details:
