Dino Snore & Rawr at the Fort Worth Zoo

Bring your family and friends to spend the night at the Fort Worth Zoo!  Your Dino Snore & Rawr adventure explores the Zoo on a guided evening dinosaur exhibit scavenger hunt, morning tour before the Zoo opens and all-day Zoo admission the day after your Overnight.  Enjoy sleeping in the comfort of our climate-controlled Education Center.  You will participate in a craft activity and live animal presentation.  A pizza dinner, evening snack and continental breakfast are also included.

Date/Time: Friday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m. to Saturday, June 4 at 10 a.m.

Consider the possibilities on a larger-than-life scale as we look at really big paintings by artists such as Velázquez, Reynolds, and Monet and then make room for creating our own monumental pictures.

Frontier Forts Days at Stockyards Station

Join us May 13th and 14th for Frontier Forts Days!

About Frontier Forts Days:

During this free, two-day heritage event, the Stockyards National Historic District is transformed into an authentic representation of Texas frontier life.

Exchange Avenue in the Stockyards will be lined with encampments of historic fort sites from the Texas Forts Trail and elsewhere in Texas. Designed to highlight frontier-era life, Frontier Forts Days brings together authentic wagons, flags, music, colorful uniforms and military gear from Texas landmarks. Infantry, artillery and cavalry demonstrations and military parades will fill the event schedule on Friday and Saturday. Re-enactors will also be on hand to discuss frontier life.

The event is free and open to the public.

Texas Sized Easter Celebration

Fort Worth Stockyards Station Hosts a Texas Sized Easter Celebration & Egg Hunt on April 23, 2011 at 12:00 pm.

What:  Annual Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt.  Activities include:

  • Easter Egg Hunt for kids of ages 0-12 begins at High Noon.
  • Pictures with Easter Bunny 12:00 – 3 p.m. (Bring your own camera).
  • Face Painter 12-3pm
  • Balloon Artist 12-3pm
  • Petting Zoo 1-4pm
  • Fort Worth Herd Cowcamp 1:30 – 2:30p.m.
  • Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive at 4:00 p.m.

When: April 23rd from 12 – 4 p.m.

Where: The Easter Egg Hunt is held on the lawns of the Historic Livestock Exchange Building and Stockyards Visitors Center. Additional Easter activities are held inside Stockyards Station and along East Exchange Avenue.

Who:  Fort Worth Stockyards Station, a western destination offering over 25 unique shops, dining and entertainment, indoor and outdoor event facilities, historic walking tours, horseback riding, the one hour “Trinity River Run” on a vintage steam engine, the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze, the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame and the home to the world’s only twice daily cattle drive.
