Dallas Blooms!

10 Mar

The Dallas Arboretum is hosting its annual Dallas Blooms this year from March 5th-April 10th.  The theme is the ever whimsical “It’s a Fairy Tale World”.  Local architects and construction firms have collaborated to build seven magical fairy tale castles throughout the gardens.

The website has a printable scavenger hunt designed for children ages 5-10 to complete by visiting each of the castles and answering questions.  On Saturdays and Sundays from 12-5pm, there is a princess who walks the gardens and interacts with the children as well.

Beginning March 7th, the Arboretum hosts Mommy and Me Mondays and Tiny Tot Tuesdays.  Activities include a petting zoo, face painting, and arts & crafts.

Also, if you go to any Capital One Bank Branch around the metroplex, you can get a “buy one get one free” admissions coupon good for any Tuesday during the Dallas Blooms!

The Dallas Arboretum is located at 8525 Garland Road in Dallas.  The telephone number is 214-515-6500.  They are open daily from 9am-5pm. Adult Price (13-64) is $12.00, Seniors (65+) $10.00,  Children (3-12) $8.00, and Children Under 3 are FREE!  Onsite self parking is $7.00.
