Art Exhibit Opening in Dallas

20 Oct

The public is invited to the opening of This Ain’t No Ferdinand at Ross Akard Gallery – the only art gallery in the Arts District – on Friday, October 29th, from 6 pm to 9 pm.  Rolando Diaz, one of the exhibitors, will create an original artwork, using one of Hobbes Vincent’s sculptures as inspiration.

If you aren’t familiar with Rolando Diaz, click here to check out a documentary aired on PBS in 2008.  Diaz resides in Dallas and is one of the city’s best known contemporary artists.  His web site: www.rodiaz.com.

Hobbes Vincent, the other featured artist, will be debuting a collection of sculptures.  His web site: www.hobbesvincent.com.

The Ross Akard Gallery is located at 1717 North Akard Street at The Fairmont Dallas.  The gallery is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday 11 am – 2 pm & 4 pm – 7 pm.  Click here for more details.
